The one thing that I’m not very keen on is the bright red of the display, this would have been much nicer in blue but then this is for safety and not really to look at, lol. In February 2022 I purchased a Mydome Driveway Alarm and from day 1 it was perfect and doing what it was supposed to do. Not so good points: bit larger then i expected, motor slight noisy when it switches on or off, needs resets now and then. I had to remove the old timer and replace it with a a normal switch but assuming you already have one in situ, there is no wiring to be done. Should it detect gas it will give out a loud beeping and the display will show the amount of gas in the air so that you can take the required action. The retro fit easy-to-install device is perfect when you’re out late, away on holiday or don’t want to come home to a dark house. The transmittter units come with little rubber grommits/plugs to cover the screw holes to prevent moisture/rust. Its’s high enough so cats don’t set it off (I’ve seen a cat on the drive and it didn’t go off) so not sure what else could be. It is incredibly easy to fit and use, and easy to programme (compared to most other timers I’ve tried).

But, one word of warning, if you are using this in conjunction with a configuration that allows eg a hall light to be switched on and off upstairs and downstairs, it will confuse the unit if you do either from the other switch. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag.

With thick walls and vegetation between the receiver and the transmitter I did not expect to get anywhere near the stated range of 150m.
